Pool Fall Detector — Prototype

Overview

Prototype pool fall detection using low-power microcontrollers (ESP32-C6), a 6-axis IMU, and optional magnetometer to detect sudden splashes and motion signatures. Alerts are transmitted over Wi-Fi or LoRaWAN depending on deployment.

Status

• Breadboard components received; wiring plan drafted.
• Firmware baseline: motion event detection + debounce + test logging.
• Next: waterproof housing & lab splash tests.

Tech Snapshot

• MCU: ESP32-C6 (802.11, BLE, 802.15.4)
• Sensors: ICM-42688 IMU; BMM150 magnetometer (optional)
• Telemetry: Wi-Fi or LoRaWAN (WisBlock)
